Sal Lemus has spent two decades advising life science ventures on the science that will define them — the models, platforms, and partners that turn early research into a fundable program. His practice rests on two principles — strategy and connection. Choosing the right strategy early is the biggest lever on a program's odds of success; the right connections are what turn that strategy into progress.
Drawing on a network of researchers, operators, and technology partners across the US and Canadian biotech ecosystems — a network he has spent his career building and continues to actively expand — Sal offers clients senior judgment on which technologies to trust, which to skip, and where to invest first, and the introductions to move a program forward.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology and Economics from the University of Waterloo.
